HEALTH & PENSION NEWS

Local 302 health plan announces additional benefits

(February 2008) -- All eligible participants in the Locals 302 and 612 IUOE Construction Industry Health and Security Fund plan were recently sent the following information about new health benefits available to them:

Routine Physical Exams -- For active members, retirees, and dependents age 14 and older, a routine physical exam is available once each calendar year. Effective January 1, 2008, no deductible is required and the Plan plays 100% of the Allowed Amount up to $500 per calendar year for an exam and any related x-ray and laboratory tests if the exam is received in Western Washington and other areas.  If the exam and related x-rays and laboratory tests are received in Alaska, no deductible is required and the Plan pays 100% of the Allowed Amount up to $600 per calendar year.

Retiree Medicare Supplemental Plan - Prescription Drug Benefits -- Retroactive to January 1, 2006, the Plan will also pay 100% of the cost of medications administered or dispensed by a covered provider that would otherwise be covered under any other provisions of the medical or prescription drug benefits of the Plan if they are not reimbursable under Medicare Parts A and B.  To qualify for this benefit, you and your Medicare eligible dependent must be enrolled in the prescription drug coverage offered by the Trust in lieu of enrolling in Medicare Part D coverage.

Retiree Benefits for Medicare Part B Expenses -- Effective January 1, 2008, the Plan pays the $135 deductible required by Medicare for Part B expenses.

If Plan participants have any questions, please contact the Administration Office at 206-441-7314 or 877-441-1212, or visit www.EngineersTrust.com.
